When anxiety strikes look around and acknowledge the reality- use your eyes to look and ears to listen.
What can you see?
What can you hear?
Take a deep breath, consciously inhale and exhale. This simple action will help you to deliver precious oxygen to your brain and as a result of it you will be able to experience reduce symptoms of anxiety.
What happens when a highly sensitive person flies high from the excitement to tragically crash and meet the sorrow combined with the reality?
Feelings of hurt, sadness , failure , disappointment and anger start to pour down into a pot of one’s existence.
Nobody wants to be a part of this situation, nobody wants to feel hurt and sad. How to avoid it?
My advice is to remain ‘SOBER’ – a very strange thing to say but it’s quite possible to get ‘drunk’ with emotions and feelings.
Think about it….
When you are overly negative, sad and angry then you can easily slip into the world of sadness and anxiety which may lead to depression. The same cycle stands for being constantly ecstatic and overexcited. You get this instant initial rush which makes you feel wonderful before falling off the cliff into the sea of the dull reality.
If you are just able to find the golden middle and balance your emotions then you will save yourself a lot of heartache & energy. Welcome to your life healthy enjoyment & sensible way of coping with not so glamorous happenings. Active meditation and acknowledgement of the present moment is crucial in this process. By exercising your mind in to noticing details of ‘ here & now’ you will prevent your brain from overheating which will allow you to stay on the right track instead of tripping over the excess of the modern world.
Just be, enjoy it and fully embrace your existence.
This is how I picture anxiety- a grumpy & sneaky creature with no real power to destroy you except for manipulative nature which can influence your mind and maliciously gnaw on it.
It’s sad to see that people choose wrong paths due to bad life experiences. I have witnessed transformations into selfish , self- centred creatures multiple times. It’s has made me wonder why does it occur so often.
The thought which comes first in to my mind is ‘protection’. Protection from the world, negative people and situations which caused worries and troubles in the past. It gives people a sense of control over their fate and the Universe which is quite helpful because it creates space for healing. The problem arises when a person who has healed rejects admirable values they were known to live by. The rejection of nobility is the easiest option but it disagrees with the inner- self which deep down sounds the alarm of the conflict. The alarm is heard above the surface. Nothing is done about it- the ignorance jumps into place causing even more confusion. Time goes by and the affected individual either changes themselves revealing their true colours or remains in the blisfull false ignorance.
Terrible news, horrible experiences, physical violence and mental abuse can harm & destroy you both mentally and physically. It’s hard to find the inner strength and hope during sad times.
It’s important to keep in mind that bad time doesn’t last forever and our existence is made of negative, neutral and positive occurences.
I know it doesn’t sound appealing to a person who has been suffering but right now PLEASE focus solely on yourself. If you are in the harmful environment PLEASE plan the great escape. Eat healthy, sleep enough and rediscover your hobbies, wishes and desires. You are the the most wonderful & unique person who deserves the best in life. Only if you remove yourself from a negative situation that will be possible and healing process will take place.
It’s only up to you of how you are going to handle the problems. You can either challenge yourself by looking at bothering you issues from a different perspective and transforming your fear into something positive just like this little fella above or stay a cattepilar throughout your whole existence making it almost unbearable.
