Why do you wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety and worries looming over you.?

It’s so stresful to be pregnant and be awoken by the fear. Thinking about an upcoming labour doesn’t help. Being flooded by imaginative thoughts about your funeral based on childbirth are terrifying but absolutely normal.

What do you do to distract yourself and break the pattern of self-destructive thoughts?

Our brain never stops working and it processes thoughts 24/7. When the anxiety strikes it acts like a net which catches and traps a thought, we begin dwell on it, we realise that it’s unpleasant and we try to get rid of it as quickly as we can. Insomnia happens when you are tired but your mind prevents you from sleeping. You lie down in bed for hours hoping to fall asleep yet you are not able to drift off into the sweet arms of lovable sweet state of hibernation. My advice is to …..fuck it- like this fella above. Just position yourself wherever you’ve  decided to sleep as comfortably as you can and wait for the sleep to come- you will eventually fall asleep and catch up with the lack of it during the following night. This works only for people who don’t  suffer from chronic insomnia and are not affected by major triggers which can caused a disturbed sleeping pattern ( medication, trauma etc.).

Good Morning or Grumpy Beginning?

When you wake up every two hours at night,

When your neighbour forgot the keys and made a very stupid decision to buzz your door to let her into the building at 12.20am,

When you wake up and realise that you are bloated due to hormonal monthly PMS and you need to start excercise more to combat lows and highs even though you don’t feel like it you are going to feel and look like this yellow tiny grumpy chicken above….

The best way of taking care of an exausted and overworked brain mass is to take it easy…. ha! Easy to say! But ‘taking it easy’ is simple and only involves going to sleep! 

No matter what you are going through in your life and what problems you are facing at the moment, trying to deal with them while being overwhelmed  and tired won’t help. If you allow yourself to go to bed and drift off by actively meditating you will feel stronger and more aware with new perspective & clarity. The active meditation will work sparkling magic.

Hmm … active meditation is not complicated. It can be done everywhere. It consists of solely concentrating on your breath- deep breath- breath in and breath out and repeat it as long as you are awake in bed 🙂

Blood is dripping down the spine , no one can make it fine
People are gathering around this guy,
Who is going to be the MRS or MR Right?
A jewel lady, standing right in the corner with a cigar and a glass of ….. fermented grape mash, squashed with hardworking woman’s bare feet?
Or ……me?!
The Jewel lady won and has lived happily ever after with a dripping spine and I have ran away hiding in the cabin in the woods.
