It seems to be the worst curse to carry around yet I feel blessed to be a part of it. I have mastered cohabiting with anxiety.

I’ve made a tiny room in my soul for anxiety so it doesn’t feel rejected, and it doesn’t rebel to be heard or be understood because I know it so well.

I know it same as I know the darkest side of my unique and rebelious INNER CHILD.

Do you look at other people who seem to enjoy their life fully? They appear to be articulate, they bloom with self- confidence and splatter their optimism everywhere they go. ‘It’s highly contagious- this optymistic attire’- you think to yourself. ‘I shall be more like them’- you contemplate. Accidentally you get to know them better and surprisingly this bubble of joyful existence bursts. The magic has ended and the reality has kicked in… but why? How?

Life is made of different elements. Hence it would be simply impossible to stay high and ecstatic all the time (unless you relied on dope- which would be harmful anyway).

People who are naturally more outgoing and carry traits of an extrovert express themselves using social opportunities. These opportunities enable them to relax and unwind. When you are trying for a baby and you are first time parent you read a lot, you anticipate and imagine what’s going to be like to carry a child under your heart and give birth to them. You go through different scenarious, you even dare to think that you are strong enough to be in control of your body & mind throughout the whole pregnancy and others who can’t cope are weak attention seekers.

You do a pregnancy test and you find out that you are in fact pregnant. You are overwhelmed and overjoyed with this wonderful news. You can’t believe your own eyes so you take one, two, three, four tests to just make sure that you are REALLY pregnant. Dear Anna,

I would like to give you a big emotional hug and tell you of how wonderful, unique, loveable, funny and clever you are.

Next, I would encourage you to embrace your figure and body every single day. I would stop you from from obsessing about the food, binging to the point of being sick, starving and exercising to maintain the same weight.

I would try my best to befriend you and motivate you to make you proud of yourself. I would stop you from analysing all the conversations you had with people in your life. You frequently managed to give to yourself pressure headache. Can you remember it? Pressure headache was the result of your brain begging you to SLOW DOWN.

First Impression

They call me a Weeping Willow due to my long and subtle branches. The side of me which is ruled by the low self-esteem would say – You made a very bad first impression as you were not able to show your real- self. The side of me who is assertive would announce- Screw them! What do they know about me? I’m unique and beautiful. I grew with the long branches which add grace and femininity  to my hippy look. I’m a shelter from the sunshine and a soothing place for other animals. 

Sometimes we think that we made a bad impression. Does it matter? No, it doesn’t as long as we’ve been our real-true-selves all the way long. People have their own set of mind, thinking pattern and tendencies. It’s a common occurence to be misjudged and musunderstood. What life has taught me is to keep going and let my uniqueness shine through despite others having a different opinion about my character & personality. Some of them change their views about my persona as they get to know me more and some of them don’t. I live my life not to please others but to embrace it and make the best out of it 😊😊😊

Self- Confidence

Life is real

Self- Confidence might be artificial disguising insecurities and fears. It can also be manipulative and toxically soothing when an individual uses it to compensate themselves for their issues. It’s toxic because it affects others around them. Healthy self- confidence derives from inner-self which consists  of self- worth, self- belief, empathy and compassion. Healthy self- confidence resides in the present moment and rejects uncertainties of the past and future.
